Laksmana has been featured on Forbes.com, Fortune.com and ScienceDaily.com regarding her work on corporate board diversity. Her recent work “Board Diversity and Corporate Social Responsibility” and “The Impact of Corporate Social Responsibility on Risk Taking and Firm Value” have appeared in the Journal of Business Ethics (2015, 2016). She received the Best Paper Award from the Ohio Region of the American Accounting Association.
She is a two-time recipient of the Beta Alpha Psi and Accounting Association's Professor of the Year Award. She has also received the Paul L. Pfeiffer Professional and Creative Teaching Award.
