Kathleen Stirbens is an Associate Lecturer in the Management and Information Systems department at Kent State University Stark Campus, where she teaches Computer Applications. In addition, she teaches lab sessions for Computer Science classes at the same campus.
Kathleen Stirbens received her MBA from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She is currently working on an additional Master’s degree in Computer Science at Kent State University. Her research focuses on accessibility of the web for blind and/or visually impaired individuals. She has presented this work in several conferences. She and Dr. Guercio presented the research and the program at the 16th International Conference on Distributed Multimedia Systems in 2010 conference, and were awarded first place recognition. The paper has since been published in the Journal for the conference.
