College of Business Administration Congratulates Drs. Datta and Guiffrida

Dear Colleagues,

Please join me in congratulating Dr. Al Guiffrida and Dr. Pratim Datta for running a successful Green Supply Chain Symposium last weekend. They made themselves, the Department, College and Kent State University proud. The symposium was attended by researchers and practitioners from as far away as The Netherlands, New York, Colorado, Texas, and Connecticut.

It is my hope that this will become an annual event and I am sure that they will build on their successes to make the symposium the gold standard in green supply chain management.

My sincere gratitude goes to those of you who were able to show your support by attending the symposium, especially Dean Heisler, Drs. Acar, Faley, Brandyberry, Shanker, Ziegler, and Mr. Smas; and the graduate students, Mr. Bhattacharyya, Brown, Tao, Gopalakrishna, Liu, and Chen, who made research presentations and/or helped with the management of some of the logistics at the symposium.

Congratulations Al and Pratim. Keep up the great work. I hope now that the symposium is over you can take some time off to catch your breath.

Felix
