Insurance Intern Earns Target 20 Award

The Target 20 Award is given to Northwestern Mutual interns who are able to sell 20 or more life insurance policies in a year. This summer Michael Cray, sophomore finance major accomplished this feat.

Northwestern Mutual has more than 300 offices across the United States with headquarters located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The company's internship program has been rated one of America's Top 10 Internships for 19 consecutive years by the Vault Guide to Top Internships. Northwestern Mutual employs 1,200 interns, of those Cray finished in the top 3% in sales. Along with earning the Target 20 Award, Michael was offered a full time position at Northwestern Mutual upon graduation.

Kent State Professor of Accounting Wendy Tietz, CPA, CMA, Ph.D., recently published a book, “Teaching with Microsoft Teams: Student Engagement Strategies” to help educators better engage with students when teaching online.

 

KENT, Ohio – Kelly Knapp-Blay, lecturer in the Kent State Department of Marketing and Entrepreneurship, has been selected as this year’s Kent State University – Mid-American Conference Outstanding Faculty for Student Success Award winner.

The Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship will host the 47th Annual Meonske Professional Development Conference April 27-28 at the Kent State University Student Center Kiva. The annual conference provides attendees with an opportunity to learn and network with other accounting and finance professionals.
