Kent State University’s College of Business Administration is excited to announce Jeff Hoffman, co-founder of Priceline, is coming to campus Jan. 23, 2016 to speak with Executive MBA students and alumni.
A successful motivational speaker and entrepreneur in fields of the Internet, eCommerce and entertainment, Hoffman is the founder of multiple startups and has acted as chief executive officer of both public and private companies. Hoffman has also produced movies and musical events, including concerts, tours and charity events with artists Britney Spears and Elton John.
In March of 1997, Hoffman helped found Priceline.com, a website offering customer savings on travel. Priceline is a publically traded company that has been ranked #14 on Fortune’s List of Fastest Growing Companies. Additionally, Hoffman helped found ColorJar, LLC, a technology development and design company based out of Chicago where he is currently a partner.
Hoffman works with President Obama’s National Advisory Council on Innovation and Entrepreneurship, as well as the State Department and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). In addition, he has received the Champion of Entrepreneurship Award from JP Morgan, Chase, Citibank and Rising Tide Capital, and the George Brown Award for International Cooperation.
Featured on TED.com, Hoffman is a frequent and highly sought after keynote speaker, having spoken in more than 50 countries on the topics of innovation, entrepreneurship and business leadership. He is also the co-author of the book “SCALE,” which provides guidance on how to grow a business. Jeff regularly works with major corporations and teaches innovation workshops.
