Who is your favorite College of Business faculty or staff member and why?

I enjoy all of the faculty and staff in the College of business, but if I had to choose a favorite it would be my advisor Marquis Davis. The advice he gives to not only me, but all the students he counsels is uplifting.  He will go out of his way to make sure a student has whatever resources he/she might need.

What is your favorite course you have taken in the College of Business and why?

I really enjoyed taking Principals of Management. The most exciting part was learning about the different styles of management and how a leader can directly affect his/her employees or group members.

What is your favorite office in the College of Business and why?

My favorite office in the college of Business is the Advising office. As soon as I walk in, the atmosphere is so welcoming. Also, Kim Kearns at the front desk is always there to answer any questions I may have.

What is your dream job? What is your plan to achieve your goals and obtain that dream job?

My dream job is to be in the marketing and productions team of Kleinfelds or David's Bridal.  As a double major in Marketing and Fashion Merchandising, I plan to gain as much experience in the field of fashion thru internships while in school.  After I graduate with my dual degree, I hope to be one step closer to obtaining my dream job.

If you belong to a student organization or club within the College of Business, what do you want students to know about your student organization or club?

I am a brother of Delta Sigma Pi Professional Fraternity, and I would like for students to know that the most important aspect of this fraternity is professionalism. There are many benefits you receive as a member such as networking events, leadership conferences, and professional training. This fraternity prepares business students for successful professional careers and is geared to help you land the job of your dreams.

Where is your favorite spot to sit and relax in the College of Business?

I love to sit in the Delta Sig Cafe on the 2nd floor. Someone is always there so it’s a great way to meet new people and I can grab food for a quick lunch break in between classes.

Have you attended an Internship, Co-op and Career Fair? What advice would you give to peers about the process?

Yes, the Career Fair that the school hosts is a good networking experience. My best advice is to meet with the Career Services Office in the College of Business Administration to have them look over your resume and to attend an elevator speech workshop before the Career Fair. Preparation is important.

If you have studied abroad, what is your best study abroad memory from your experience and why is this your favorite memory?  If you have not studied abroad, what is your dream study abroad trip and why?

I have not studied abroad yet, but my dream destination is New York for the summer and Florence, Italy for the 2 week program. This will give me experience in both the fashion and international business industries.
