Girls Geared for Engineering Camp
Girls Geared for Engineering 2020 is a virtual STEM camp for middle school girls.
About this Event
In 2019, campers experienced aerospace engineering and mechatronics-the integration of mechanical, electrical, computer, and systems engineering-on the Kent State University campus in this multi-disciplinary, week-long day camp. Girls took part in fun and challenging engineering projects and activities, such as flying mini-drones and launching a rocket. Campers explored career opportunities during site visits to two well-known companies.
This year, the College of Aeronautic and Engineering will mail registered campers supplies and instructions, along with Zoom links to learn how to create the STEM projects from home in real-time.
