Kent State University's College of Aeronautics and Engineering will host a free event to bring the excitement of aviation and aerospace to all girls grades 4-12. Women in Aviation chapters across the globe and Kent State partner to connect you with other girls who are excited about aviation or want to learn more about it.
"FIRST Tech Challenge teams (10+ members, grades 7-12) are challenged to design, build, program, and operate robots to compete in a head-to-head challenge in an alliance format." We welcome the FIRST Tech Challenge Qualifying Tournament to the Kent State Student Center. Hosted annually in February.
The Aeronautics Careers Education Academy is designed to allow high school students to experience facilities rarely open to the public. This week-long program for 25 students entering grades 10-12 exposes students to a wide variety of career opportunities in the fields of aeronautics and aerospace engineering, including Air Traffic Control (ATC), professional pilot, aviation management, and aeronautical engineering. Takes place annually in June.
Fifteen female, high school students will receive a free, three-day camp experience through the Nikki Kukwa Memorial Aviation Fund and Kent State University’s College of Aeronautics and Engineering. Takes place annually in July.
Kent State University's College of Aeronautics and Engineering will host the Youth Aviation Adventure (YAA) at the KSU Airport on April 21, 2018. At this event, students and their chaperone(s), will learn about the exciting world of aviation, in a high-quality, engaging and educational program.
