Season's Greetings from CAE

Season's Greetings and Happy New Year

Dear Family and Friends of CAE,

With the spirit of the holiday season, I always take time to reflect on all the good things that surround me. I feel blessed and privileged to have the opportunity to work with so many passionate, hardworking, and dedicated people, serving the future leaders and innovators of the world. We had no idea what to expect this past year and have navigated this uncharted territory – together. The many moments of uncertainty were met with thoughtful, intentional, and passionate conversations – ultimately leading us to the solutions that were chosen because they were right. When you focus on doing things for the right reasons, the rest tends to fall into place.

Collectively, our team has had many accomplishments spanning our threefold mission of research, teaching and service. Our faculty and staff have found opportunity in chaos, navigating hard decisions under uncertainty. We take risks, and we try again.

We are so incredibly thankful for the support of our Kent State University leadership in enabling the expansion of our Aeronautics and Engineering Building with an additional 44,000 ft.² to be added and ready for our students, faculty, staff, and community by fall of 2023.

I hope that you and your family are safe and in happy holiday spirits! Thank you again for being the best community one could ask for. Your energy and persistence have driven our college to new heights, and we greatly appreciate it - as do our students!

Happy holidays and Go Flashes!
