Submitting Application Materials:

Undergraduates and Graduates should submit materials electronically through the respective Undergraduate admissions or Graduate admissions portals. With the exception of the portfolio.

International Applicants:

Please review the information on the Kent State University Office of Global Education website regarding international graduate student admissions. For applicants who must complete language proficiency testing as part of the application, the minimum required language proficiency scores for the College of Architecture and Environmental Design are:

Graduate Record Examinations:

Scores above 151(460) verbal reasoning, 150 (620) quantitative reasoning and 4.25 analytical writing will give an applicant good chances of admission. Note: GRE is not required for the MHCD degree application.

Letters of Recommendation:

Letters of recommendation are required for some Masters programs. Submit letters of recommendation completed by persons who are familiar with your educational goals and your ability to achieve them (at least three, one of which from a non academic source, preferably professional). The format may be a letter and/or the Recommendation Form, which can be downloaded from the Graduate Studies Forms Library.
