
Eric Pros
Biography
Eric Pros is an adjunct instructor at the College of Architecture and Environmental Design, teaching design studio and digital application courses. Eric is an alumnus of the CAED, and began his education at Kent State University with a background in the Studio Arts. Eric earned his Bachelor of Science in Architecture, and a Masters of architecture from Kent State University College of Architecture and Environmental Design. He also earned a Masters of Business Administration from the Graduate School of Management at Kent State University.
Eric works full time as a Project Designer at David Sommers & Associates, LLC, with a focus on Municipal projects including Public Administration buildings, Police Stations and Fire Stations. His previous work experience includes work ranging from single family residential projects to large scale commercial developments. In addition to his career in architectural design, Eric also works as a demonstrative evidence expert in crime scene reconstructions. Eric has completed shooting reconstructions for the United States Army, the United States Marshal Service, and Various Municipal Police Departments throughout the United States. Eric holds certificates from Northwestern University and West Virginia University in Shooting Reconstruction.
Eric actively volunteers in the Kent community and has served as a board member of the Kent Junior Chamber of Commerce since 2012. Eric serves at his church as a member of the production team, and participates in international missions trips. Whenever possible, Eric competes in design competitions throughout the design community, and advocates for public art. Recently, Eric was part of a team who won a competition and was awarded a commission to design a series of bicycle racks for the City of Kent. Eric-s team also took second place in a public art installation painting storm drains intended to bring public attention to the environmental threat posed by stormwater runoff.
