
Griffin Morris
Biography
Griffin Morris graduated from Kent state University with his Master of Architecture and Master of Business Administration in 2011. In his final year of graduate school, he was part of the winning team for the MatR competition. With Professor Bill Lucak and Victoria Capranica, the team designed, fabricated, and constructed "The Passage", an amorphous tunnel enclosure. "The Passage" was built using CNC routed plywood that had been cut into a series of ribs and arches, which were produced in Rhino using the Grasshopper scripting tool.
Griffin began teaching for the University in the following Fall semester. He currently works full time for Payto Architects in addition to teaching for Kent State University. He is pursuing his architect's license while continuing his research in digital design and fabrication techniques.
