Career Exploration and Development at Kent State University is pleased to announce our Career Exploration Fair! This fair is a great opportunity to connect with quality candidates during the spring recruiting season with Kent State!  The Career Exploration Fair is open to any organization recruiting for employment opportunities or interested in networking.

The fair will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2021 from 10:00am - 3:00pm EST and will take place 100% virtually in Handshake.

We are excited to pilot our first ever Sliding Scale Registration Packages! Upon registration, your organization will be reviewed and categorized based on:

  1. Non-profit/Government, For Profit, or Kent State University Department status
  2. Overall size of your organization, based on number of total employees

For-Profit Package

Government/Non-Profit Package

Promotional Package

The Promotional Package is specifically for organizations interested in an exclusive level fair partnership that will promote your organization with custom, personalized marketing efforts.  See below for package details.

Handshake Video Session Elements:

  • (10) Group Video Sessions
  • Unlimited organization representatives can attend
  • (30) 1-on-1 sessions per organization representative

Additional Promotional Package Elements:

  • (2) Targeted Handshake emails with your organization’s branding and information to be sent by Career Exploration and Development
    • Ideas you might want to include in the email: information about your company and culture, opportunities you are hiring for at the fair, testimonials from people working within your organization, highlighting Kent State alumni that work within your organization, etc.
    • Career Exploration and Development would advise to have the first email sent 2-3 weeks before the fair and the second email one week before the fair reminding students to check out opportunities available with your organization and to sign up for remaining 1-on-1 and/or group sessions.
  • (1) Promotional video, 60-90 seconds in length, highlighting what your company will be recruiting for during the fair, what makes your company a great place to work, etc. that will be promoted through social media, the Career Exploration and Development website, and student fair description in Handshake
    • Video will need to be completed by January 21, 2020 to effectively advertise the video to students
    • Video could consist of an interview with a representative from your organization and Career Exploration and Development or you can create your own commercial style video highlighting your employees, work atmosphere, company culture, etc.
  • (2) Tweets from the Career Exploration and Development Twitter account (@KentStateCareer)
    • One tweet can be used to promote your 60-90 second video
Kent State University On-Campus Departments

Price:  FREE

This rate is specifically for Kent State University departments recruiting candidates for specific student employment positions with their department and/or looking to network with candidates.  Registering for the fair will include the following for your department:

  • (10) Group Video Sessions
  • Unlimited organization representatives can attend
  • (30) 1-on-1 sessions per organization representative
