Fifth Annual Kent State University Water and Land Symposium

Kent State Hotel & Conference Center

Natural/Designed Ecologies
Oct. 4-5, 2017

This symposium attracts more than 300 attendees from northeastern Ohio and surrounding states. This year we are delighted to have Edward Mazria, an architect, educator and author as our keynote speaker. Ed is well known for his ability to integrate “green architecture” into his designs, linking solar energy, passive heating and cooling, and other resource-conservation measures into his methodology. He is a renowned author, with his book “The Passive Solar Energy Book”, being a standard that is globally consulted. He has won many awards, including from the American Solar Energy Society and the Chairman’s award from the World Green Building Council. Breakout sessions will focus on “Conservation and Recreation,” “Living Materials,” and “Sustainable Urbanism.”
