On February 23 at 2pm, Mr. Storey will be in the Student Multicultural Center to talk about the importance of finding people who will encourage you to be a person of honor, dignity, prosperity, and direction in his workshop The Power of Partnership. “Oprah Winfrey said it this way, ‘Surround yourself only with people who are going to lift you higher.’ Understand that the people we associate with have the ability to influence our character, development, and behavior.” says Mr. Storey, “People who see the best, want the best, and are willing to go the extra mile. Learn to discern between barnacles and buoys; between those that bring you down and those that keep you afloat and protect you from danger.”
