Biography

Marko Ayala, Diversity Project Coordinator, College of Communication and Information. Marko works with the Key Connections 2017 cohort by providing support through resource sharing that will lead to student success and degree completion. This connection with students fosters a sense of trust which allows for further student engagement.

Before transitioning to Kent State University, Marko has previous experience with a nonprofit that supports the educational journey of Latino students and families. Here he assisted seniors in high school with the college enrollment process which included, FAFSA and college application completion. Marko also facilitated the Lideres Avanzando, a program designed to help Latino freshman and sophomore persist and graduate college. Marko is skilled in creating  resources materials for student success.
