College Sponsors Run the World 5K

Registration Open for Race that Raises Funds for Study Abroad Scholarships

The College of Communication and Information is excited to be a premium sponsor of the Run the World 5K, a race organized by the colleges within Kent State University and the Office of Global Education to raise money for study abroad student scholarships. Last year, Kent State awarded eight $1,000 scholarships after the inaugural race.

The second annual Run the World 5K will take place Saturday, Sept. 10, at 8:30 a.m. The start and finish line will be at Risman Plaza (in between the Student Center and University Library) at Kent State.

Kent State Students: Registration for the race will also include you in a chance to win one of multiple $1,000 scholarships toward a study abroad experience. The study abroad program must be a Kent State or exchange program. See the Office of Global Education to determine if your interested program qualifies. Students must register for the race to be qualified.
