School of Visual Communication Design to Announce Scholarship Winners at Upcoming Event
The School of Visual Communication Design will award five scholarships, ranging from $500 to $1,000 each, at its first school-wide, open rank, student Honors Show later this semester.
Students interested in applying for a scholarship must fill out an application and submit their portfolios by Dec. 4. The scholarships will be announced at the Honors Exhibition on Monday, Dec. 14, in the School of Art Gallery at 400 Janik Dr.
American Greetings Endowed Scholarship for Excellence in Design (2 @ $1,000 each)
Students must demonstrate excellence in design. Open to all undergraduate and graduate design majors.
VCD Alumni Scholarship (1 @ $1,000)
Students must demonstrate excellence in design, illustration or photo-illustration. Open to all undergraduate and graduate VCD majors.
Glyphix Scholarship Fund (1 @ $500)
Students must be currently enrolled in Glyphix and demonstrate excellence in either design, illustration or photo-illustration.
Lewis and Dona Williams Endowed Scholarship (1 @ $1,000)
Students must: be a sophomore, junior or senior design, illustration or photo-illustration major; have passed sophomore review; have a minimum 2.5 GPA; exhibit financial need; demonstrate excellence in design, illustration or photo-illustration; and be a member of an underrepresented population in higher education. Preference will be given to AALANA students (individuals who self-identify African American, Latino and/or Native American).
