Seven College of Communication and Information Women Named to Mothers, Mentors and Muses Class

Seven women from across the College of Communication and Information will join 39 colleagues from across the Kent State University eight-campus system to comprise the 2016 class of Mothers, Mentors and Muses, the Women’s Center’s signature event that recognizes Kent State female-identifying faculty or staff who have made a significant difference in the life of a student or colleague.

As part of the Women's Center's 20th Anniversary Celebration, the Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion will host the 7th annual Mothers, Mentors and Muses Scholarship Fundraiser Reception and Silent Auction from 5 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8 in the Kent Student Center Ballroom. Kent State President Emeritus Carol Cartwright, Ph.D., will be the guest speaker.

Register early to attend this event to support the honorees, especially those in CCI. They include:

  • Darlene Contrucci, Administrative Assistant, Journalism and Mass Communication
  • Joan Inderhees, Associate Lecturer, Visual Communication Design
  • Nancy Lensenmayer, Lecturer, Library and Information Science
  • Audrey Lingenfelter, Senior RCM Manager, CCI
  • Miao Liu, International Program Advisor, Communication Studies
  • Jennifer McCullough, Ph.D., Assistant Professor, Communication Studies
  • Sara Morato, CCI Study Abroad/Advising Coordinator, CCI

More than 300 women across the university have received this honor.
