School of Information to Host Professional User Experience Workshops

Professional, Non-Credit User Experience Workshops to be Offered by Kent State Starting This Summer

Kent State’s School of Information (iSchool) will be offering a series of workshops to introduce User Experience Design to working professionals.

The non-credit workshops will provide formal training to those who work in the field of user experience design, as well as those hoping to transition into the field or augment their existing careers. The sessions will take place over two and a half days, splitting time between learning from seasoned user experience designers and practicing those concepts with hands-on activities. Attendees will gain insight into industry best practices as well as the UX design process, creating deliverables to reinforce their knowledge along the way.

The first workshop to be offered, User Experience Fundamentals, will take place on Aug. 8-10, 2018 in Columbus, OH at the State Library of Ohio. Attendees will receive a certificate upon completion of the workshop and be able to put into practice their new thought processes and skills to support and advance their careers.

Those who are interested in finding out more about these events or registering for the workshops can do so at www.kent.edu/uxworkshops.
