PUCPR-American Academy Summer KSU Immersion Program

American Academy Logo

This program is open to current Brazilian undergraduate students who have completed either one or two semesters in the American Academy, our dual enrollment program in Curitiba, Brazil.

American Academy KSU Summer Immersion will introduce American Academy students to U.S. university life, and to Kent State specifically, in order to welcome them to the KSU family. This 10-day program prepares students who are planning to come to Kent in year three of their studies for completion of their undergraduate degree, and for those not planning to finish their degree at Kent it provides a fun and enriching study abroad experience in the U.S.

Program sessions will focus on the introduction of our academic programs through hands-on activities, which will be useful in helping students to decide on a major. Additional activities include cultural and recreational field trips in Kent and surrounding areas.

Participants will come away with a better understanding of U.S. university campus life, their career goals, and the variety of academic, cultural and social life offered in and around Kent. They will also have the opportunity to engage with current KSU students.
