Explore Kent Chemistry Day
We invite high school students and their families to visit the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry for Explore Kent Chemistry Day on Saturday, February 09, 2019.
Our program will begin in the North Commons of the Integrated Sciences Building/Williams Hall at 10:00 a.m. An optional campus tour with Admissions is available at 9:00 a.m. Chemistry & Biochemistry professors will describe our curriculum, job prospects with our degrees and research opportunities available to undergraduates. Kent State Chemistry & Biochemistry majors will describe college life from the student's point of view. We will demonstrate our 3D stereoprojection classrooms and take a tour of the instructional and research laboratories. The visit will conclude with an informal lunch, where attendees will have the opportunity to talk one-on-one with faculty and students.
High school juniors and seniors come from all over Ohio and neighboring states for Explore Kent Chemistry Day. Current Kent State students who are considering Chemistry & Biochemistry majors are also welcome.
