Kent State Filmmakers:

Kent State doesn’t just have a digital media production program, we have faculty and students who are actively involved in creating films that win awards at film festivals and beyond. Meet them here.

Faculty Filmmakers

Scott W. Hallgren has an extensive list of film, TV, music video and gaming work as a sound editor, boom operator and composer, including:

Molly Merryman, Ph.D., is the founding director of Kent State University’s Center for the Study of Gender and Sexuality. She is a documentary filmmaker and author.

Joe Murray has worked as a producer/director, graphic designer, editor and writer for a variety of PBS and commercial television stations and television post-production companies.

Becky Rolnick is an independent filmmaker and is currently in post-production on a feature-length independent documentary. Becky has worked as a writer, director, producer and editor on film, television and streaming productions large and small.

Dana White began her career as an actor on the NY stage. She has also worked in film and TV as a director, producer, editor and writer.
