Application and Student Selection Process

  1. Apply to Kent State University
  2. Send Official Transcripts from high school and college (if applicable)
  3. Complete ALEKS math placement test and Accuplacer test for reading and writing (dependent on ACT scores) 
  4. Complete the online radiologic technology application: Nov.1-Feb. 1
  5. Complete Job Shadowing-minimum 4 hours required by Feb. 1st  
  6. Schedule an Information Session by February 1st
  7. Review Technical Standards 
  8. Review Pregnancy Policy 

Student Selection Process

  1. Points are assigned to each applicant based on cumulative GPA, grades in biology, chemistry, math and physics courses, job shadowing, completion of Information Session, and employment.
  2. The applicants with the highest points receive a campus and a clinical interview in February and March
  3. In late March, approximately 24 students are accepted each year. Alternates are chosen if applicants decline acceptance.
  4. Program start is June with graduation 24 months later
  5. Students are predominately placed at one clinical site throughout the program with some visits to offices and clinics
  6.
