Sometimes, even with all the career-related sites on the Internet, students need to sit down and “talk” to an advisor or counselor about their goals and career needs.
Often the simple act of talking makes a problematic situation seem clearer. If you don’t have any idea of what your major should be, if you don’t like the major that you have chosen, or if you are having academic problems in the coursework in your major, it would be a good idea to make an appointment with the career counselor.
The career counselor is available for personal appointments at Kent State University's Columbiana County Campuses.
Students should e-mail Danielle Baker-Rose, email@example.com to make an appointment and list several good days and times in your e-mail message. For exact days and times that the career counselor will be available, please call Danielle at 330-337-4214 or e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org
High school juniors and seniors are also invited to visit the career counselor to discuss college plans and majors.
Simply call or e-mail for an appointment.
The following sites will help high school students prepare for the S.A.T.
Other services available to students through the career office are:
- Résumé review
- Cover Letter review
- Job Search Assistance
- Personality and interest inventories
- Interviewing practice
- If you are a Kent State University student, you can access MyPlan.com, a computerized career guidance program.
Feel free to contact the career counselor with all your career-related needs.
