Thursday, Dec. 1 at Noon - Purinton Hall, Quiet Study Lounge
Speaker: Stephen G. Papalas

Benjamin Franklin, one of my favorite historical figures, contributed more to America than many of our founding fathers.  He was the greatest and most famous scientist of his day.  As a successful businessman and inventor he devoted his life to improving the lives of everyone around him.  As our oldest statesman and revolutionary he helped found a new nation.  Franklin has been viewed as a giant among men, but some of his actions show that he was only as human as you and I.

Stephen G. Papalas been an adjunct history instructor at the East Liverpool campus for more than 25 years. He has also been on Niles City Council for the past 37 years.
