MUSE Group Book Discussion - A Prayer for Owen Meany

The Muse Group, a Library sponsored reading discussion program, began in 2004 and is open to both the campus and surrounding community. The mission of the group is to bring lively and interesting discussion of a wide variety of books on differing topics to whomever would like to read, and then have a forum in which to discuss their books of  interest.

This MUSE Group Book discussion will be on A Prayer for Owen Meany by John Irving.

Ten-year-old Owen Meany, playing in a Little League baseball game in Gravesend, New Hampshire, hits a foul ball and kills his best friend's mother. Owen doesn't believe in accidents; he believes he is God's instrument. What happens to Owen after that 1953 foul is both extraordinary and terrifying. (Goodreads)

This MUSE Group session will be held at Kent State University at East Liverpool located at 400 East Frouth Street East Liverpoool, OH 43920 in Purinton Hall, 3rd Floor Staff Lounge.
