Homecoming

Homecoming 2021 will be celebrated on the Kent State Columbiana County campuses during the last week of September.

  • Salem Campus Homecoming is Monday, September 27.
  • East Liverpool Campus Homecoming is Thursday, September 30.

We welcome alumni, friends of the campus and all former and current staff, faculty and students to return to campus on these special days.

NOTE: We remain cautiously optimistic that we will be able to host this event and the planned activities; however, we may need to adjust our planning because of the uncertainty of the COVID pandemic. Therefore, times and activities are subject to change.

Salem Campus Homecoming – September 27

The day’s agenda features activities happening simultaneously throughout the day and into the evening.  There will be refreshments, a door prize and a small gift for the first 250 guests who visit that day. The activities include:

Walk the Halls

Walk the halls to see what looks the same and what has changed. Guests can see new technology throughout the campus, including the Virtual Reality lab and Zoom classrooms, along with the new Academic Learning Commons area (formerly the Library).

It was in 1971 – 50 years ago – that the classroom building on St. Route 45 was opened for classes. While walking the halls, guests can enjoy looking at historical photos and archival displays to commemorate the completion of the construction and the creation of a real campus in Salem.
