East Liverpool Campus Promotes Breast Cancer Awareness

Purinton Hall in Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness MonthMary Patterson Building promoting Breast Cancer Awareness MonthMost people know that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, but the East Liverpool Campus is doing its best to remind everyone of this important issue. Pink ribbons now hang in the windows of the Mary Patterson Building and Purinton Hall, showing the support of students and employees to this awareness campaign.

The campus is participating in an initiative by CHANGE Inc., a service organization in Hancock County, W.Va., to involve area businesses in raising the level of awareness about the importance of breast cancer screenings and early detection.

Employees helped print and cut out the ribbons, with many writing messages of hope or remembrance on the ribbons.
