Kent State Salem Student Earns Flowers Growers Scholarship

Desiree Pinkerton, a junior at Kent State University at Salem, received a $1,000 scholarship from the Greater Cleveland Flower Association.

Pinkerton lives in East Liverpool and is earning her bachelor’s degree in horticulture with a 3.6 GPA. She is active with the Horticulture Club and is a student worker with the grounds crew, helping to maintain and winterize the landscape across the 98-acre campus.
