Christine D. Gialousis, B.S., R.T. (R)(M)(CT)(MR), Adjunct Faculty
Magnetic Resonance
As a member of the adjunct faculty at the Salem Campus of Kent State University, I provide instruction in the Bachelor of Radiologic and Imaging Sciences Technology Degree for Magnetic Resonance.
I completed a diploma program in Radiologic Technology at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital School of DiagnosticImaging in Youngstown, Ohio. I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Allied Health from Youngstown State University, and am currently in my last semester towards the completion of a Master’s degree in Education from Youngstown State University.
My years of experience in imaging began as a registered staff radiologic at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital 1989. I transferred to a CT/special procedure technologist position in 1990. In 1999, I joined the staff at The Medical Center in Beaver, PA as a MRI/CT Technologist. I have also held positions at Forum Health, Akron General Medical Center, and Alliance Imaging. While employed for Alliance Imaging, I was the Senior Technologist in charge of Applications and Education. I am currently an adjunct faculty member at Cuyahoga Community College where I teach a variety of imaging classes. I am also currently employed at the Cleveland Clinic School of Diagnostic Imaging as an instructor for the Radiology/CT/MRI programs. Over the years, I have held various positions and worked in a variety of imaging modalities. I now have the honor to serve as adjunct faculty for the Magnetic Resonance Program at Kent State Salem. I also serve as a site visitor for the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS), which is an accrediting body for proprietary schools that provide education in Radiologic Technology as well as many other fields of study.
In the area of Magnetic Resonance, I provide classroom instruction and direction for the course of study in Sectional Anatomy I and II, Patient Management in Magnetic Resonance. Clinical experience is incorporated to reinforce the didactic learning.
