CCI FOOD AND CLOTHING DRIVE: NOV. 13 TO NOV. 18

The College of Communication and Information is participating in the Undergraduate Student Government Canned Food Drive all week long. Please donate canned foods, new and unused clothing, toiletries and feminine products.

Look for donation signs:

Library – 3rd Floor, School of Information – Rm. 314

Taylor – 1st Floor, Advising Office – Rm. 101

Franklin – 3rd Floor, Advising Office – Rm. 334

Olson – 1st Floor, Main Lobby

 Donations can be made each day from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

 There is a competition between all of the colleges to see which can collect the most donations.

Help us make CCI the winner! All collection items with be given to various entities on campus to help replenish their supplies. Thank you for helping our community!

REDEFINING ‘REFUGEE’: STORIES FROM A GLOBAL CRISIS: WEDNESDAY, NOV. 15

Panelists will discuss how the global refugee crisis impacts Kent State students and people around the world. Five panelists will explore ways people can help in alleviating the predominant controversy surrounding the topic.

Want to strengthen your digital web skills?

This spring, COMM Assistant Professor Michael Beam, Ph.D., is teaching ‘My Story on the Web’, DSCI 10310, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. This hybrid course includes assignments for basic web design, storytelling and multimedia using the Adobe Creative Suite and WordPress.
