The School of Communication Studies will kick-off its Taylor Hall Reopening festivities with an outdoor picnic. Alumni, faculty, staff, students and guests are invited to attend.
In its 85th year as a discipline on the Kent State University campus, communication studies continues to evolve with the times. The School of Communication Studies will kick off the 2017 – 2018 academic year with one of its biggest transformations yet!
Join us as we debut our new and expanded space in Taylor Hall which is shared with our colleagues in the School of Visual Communication Design.

For visitors who plan to stay overnight, the College of Communication and Information has blocked rooms available at the Kent State University Hotel and Conference Center for Thursday, Sept. 21 and Friday, Sept. 22 for a special rate of $109/night. Use code "KSCOC" when reserving (if staying multiple nights, be sure to request the same room for both dates). Blocked rooms will be available only until Friday, Sept. 8. Other local hotels include Comfort Inn and Suites or Holiday Inn Express and Suites.

Carol Wilder, Ph.D., '74, the 2017 School of Communication Studies (COMM) Centennial Award winner, will give a presentation titled, "Retro Rhetoric: The Past as Present in Communication Studies."
