Campus-based experiential learning opportunities serve as means of increasing students' sense of connected to the campus community, awareness of institutional resources, and offers opportunities for direct engagement. The OEECE is looking to establish collaborations with campus departments and centers interested in supplementing their resources through experiential learning.
Department and centers would help foster student academic development by proving a professional environment in which students could put classroom knowledge and skills to work. The Continuum of Engaged Learning (see below) provides a model approach for engaging undergraduate students at each academic level (i.e. freshman - senior). The experiential learning Plus-1 Credit is a great way to pilot experiential learning in your unit. Contact the OEECE for more details or complete the campus-based partnership form and tell us how experiential learning can support you.
