Service Leaders and Community Partner Advocates are undergraduate or graduate student leaders committed to working with others to provide meaningful service opportunities and strengthen their communities while gaining valuable leadership skills and professional development.
 

As a Service Leader, you have the opportunity to:

  • Lead monthly Super Service Saturdays/Days of Service
  • Attend bi-weekly meetings (with Community Partner Advocates) focusing on leadership development & community engagement
  • Spread the word about opportunities with Community Engaged Learning through tabling, info sessions, and presentations
  • Lead Alternative Break experiences (Fall, Winter, and/or Spring)
  • Collect $100 in FlashCash each semester (with the fulfillment of all responsibilities)

 

As a Community Partner Advocate, you have the opportunity to:

  • Serve as a student liaison to a community partner--a local non-profit organization or agency
  • Recruit a group of students who volunteer with the community partner on a consistent basis
  • Assist in developing programs with and for the community partner
  • Attend bi-weekly meetings (with Service Leaders) focusing on leadership development & community engagement
  • Lead Alternative Break experiences (Fall, Winter, and/or Spring)
  • Collect $100 in FlashCash each semester (with the fulfillment of all responsibilities)

 


 

The application for full-year positions during the 2019-2020 academic year has now closed. Community Engaged Learning will accept mid-year Service Leader and Community Partner Advocate applications for the Spring 2020 semester beginning in November 2019.
