Online Information Sessions for Prospective Graduate Students


Are you interested in finding out more about the graduate programs in Computer Science at Kent State University?  Throughout the semester we are offering a live, online information session with a graduate faculty member and a moderator.  This is your opportunity to ask questions!

Participating in the info session will help you understand the department, research within the department, and other details of the MS and Ph.D. programs in Computer Science.  You might also be interested in funding options as well as in life in general in Kent, Ohio.

As a prospective graduate student,   please sign up for one of the online information sessions, and afterward, we will send you the information about how to join the session from your computer or phone.

  • If you are a new student who plans to arrive in the U.S. physically for either Fall 2022 or Spring 2023:

    • Participate in International Student Orientation and the appropriate academic orientation (Destination Kent State - DKS for undergraduate students, or Graduate Student Orientation for graduate students.

    • Enroll in a full course of study with at least 1 in-person course. Undergraduate students must enroll in at least 12 credits, and graduate students must enroll in at least 8 credits.

    • Late Arrival Letters may be requested by emailing if you have a visa appointment scheduled. The last date for late arrival for undergraduate students for Fall 2022 is August 30, 2022, and Spring 2023 is January 23, 2023. ESL & Graduate students may be considered on a case-by-case basis with permission of the academic or ESL department.
