The fraternity and sorority community at Kent State is governed by a council that provides programming and assistance for chapters as well as ensuring individuals chapters are living up to our community standards.

The Kent State Interfraternity Council

The Interfraternity Council (IFC) serves as the governing council for 19 of Kent State's fraternities. IFC assists fraternities by sponsoring recruitment activities at the start of each semester. The council also sponsors several educational events, including scholarship programs, career counseling sessions, and risk management seminars. The Kent State Integrated Greek Council

The Integrated Greek Council (IGC) is an umbrella council for a coalition of the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) established in 1930 and the National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations (NALFO). The purpose of IGC is to provide a forum that allows for the free exchange of ideas, programs, and services between its constituent fraternities and sororities; to promote the awareness of multicultural diversity within collegiate institutions, their surrounding communities, and the greater community-at-large, and to support and promote the works of its member organizations. The Kent State Panhellenic Council

The object of the Panhellenic Council shall be to develop and maintain fraternity life and inter-fraternity relations at a high level of accomplishment and in doing so to consider the goals and ideals of member groups as continually applicable to campus and personal life, promote superior scholarship as a basic intellectual achievement, cooperate with member fraternities and the university administration in concern for maintenance of high social and moral standards, act in accordance with the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) Unanimous Agreements and policies, and act in accordance with all rules established by its member fraternities.
