How do I earn points?

Points are earned by presenting and swiping your FLASHcard with a designated FLASHperks employee. These employees are typically located at the entrance of the event and will inform students entering the event that they are swiping for FLASHperks points. You must have your FLASHcard present and be registered at the time of the event to receive points.

Does it cost me anything to enroll?

Enrolling in FLASHperks is FREE to any Kent State University undergraduate student. In order to receive your points at designated FLASHperks events, you must present and swipe your FlashCard with a FLASHperks employee.

How long can I continue to accumulate points?

As long as you are enrolled as a Kent State University undergraduate student and registered for classes, your points will not expire from your account. Points are rolled over from year to year to help you maximize your points to achieve higher prize levels.

How do I collect my reward once I have reached a certain level?

Once you have reached a prize level, stop by the Center for Student Involvement (CSI) office to claim your prize! The CSI office is open 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.  The office is located in room 227 of the Kent Student Center.  Make sure you bring FLASHcard so we can look up your account.  

If I claim a prize, do my points reset?

No.  If you claim a prize, your points DO NOT reset.  Your points will continue to accumulate year after year, as long as you are enrolled as a Kent State University undergraduate student.  So, claim each and every prize you earn!

If new point levels are added after I exceed that level, can I get those prizes too?

Unfortunately, you are not eligible to receive those prizes. For the 2018-19 academic year, one new prize level, 5,000 and seven new prizes were added. Prize redemption is not retroactive for new prize levels; meaning if you had already claimed one of the new prize levels and/or prizes launched the 2018-19 academic year, you are not able to claim that prize.


What if my points are not updated after attending a FLASHperks event?

As long as you haven't opted out of the program, your points will accumulate automatically. If your points are not updated within 72 hours of the event you attended, please email and a member of our team will be able to assist you.

Who can request a FLASHperks event?

Anyone can request a FLASHperks event! We encourage all faculty, staff and students to participate in the FLASHperks program.

How can I make my event a FLASHperks event?

Simply visit the university calendar website, click the "Submit an Event" button and complete the event request form. There will be a FLASHperks request check box. You will be informed if the event is accepted as a FLASHperks event via email. We do require request be submitted at least 14 days prior to your event in order to provide proper staffing.

Where can I find how many points I have?

You are able to see your point level on the FLASHperks tile within FLASHline.
