Rick provides leadership and administrative direction to a comprehensive and vibrant student engagement program which complements and supports the mission of the university and enriches the quality of student life. He builds and leads a student engagement practice which honors diversity and inclusion, and celebrates the engagement of all Kent State students. He provides leadership to the Center for Student Involvement, which encompasses the areas of student activities and programming, student organizations, leadership development, fraternity and sorority life and commuter student programming.
Rick joined the staff in September 2017. He previously worked in student centers and student activities at Wright State University, The University of Akron, Ohio University, and Hiram College. Rick has a Master's degree from Kent State University in Higher Education Administration and Student Personnel and a Ph.D. from Ohio University in Higher Education Administration.
