American Red Cross Club
The American Red Cross Club at Kent State University is a wonderful way to gain volunteer experience both on campus and within the community. We play an active role in the blood drives on campus, volunteer in the community by serving at community dinners and educate members through various guest speakers on other facets of the American Red Cross such as disaster service and support for military families. This past year we helped serve meals at the Akron Community Center, taught children about fire safety at local preschools, made holiday cards to give to troops and veterans, and passed out fire safety information to fire prone neighborhoods around the Kent area. For any questions or more information email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We have monthly meetings to discuss what activities the group will be doing, and to listen to various guest speakers to become more familiar with the Red Cross as a whole.
Members need to attend a minimum of four events throughout the semester, to be considered an active member.
