Phi Alpha Theta, Psi Chapter
Phi Alpha Theta is a national history honor society dedicated to promoting the study of history at all levels of society. The Psi Chapter at Kent State continues this mission through various events such as Fireside Chats, holding an annual food/clothing drive for a local shelter, speaking with History majors/minors about the organization, and holding a symposium prior to the Kent-Akron History Department Symposium.
Undergraduate students shall qualify for membership when they completed at least 12 semester hours in collegiate history courses, with an average grade ratio in all college level history courses taken of above 3.1, and shall have an overall average on all college work of at least 3.0.
Graduate students to qualify for membership shall have completed approximately 30% of the residence requirements for the Master's Degree.
