  • Journalism Teaching Endorsement: No, DE offers no such certificate. The closest certifications offered by the DE Department of Education are "Middle Level English Language Arts Grades 6-8" and "Secondary English Language Arts Grades 9-12 (valid 6-8 in a middle school).
  • Pass state assessment or certification test/s (tests needed): To obtain an ELA certificate, Praxis II 0049 (middle) or Praxis II 0041 (secondary) is required.
  • NCATE or National Accreditation required: DE only accepts degrees from regionally accredited institutions. NCATE is preferred.
