  • Journalism Teaching Endorsement: No - A Career Technical Education Endorsement is needed to teach journalism in secondary schools in Oregon.
  • Pass state assessment or certification test/s (tests needed): There is not a journalism test that is needed. Teachers must demonstrate Business and Industry experience to receive their license. They need to pass a basic skills test and a civil rights test. Teachers must have at least and AAS degree to receive a teacher certificate through the alternative pathway. While, they teach they must complete an individually designed education program through an accredited institution of higher education.
