Backward Design: Building a Course from Z to A–Working Lunch

Moulton
Moulton Hall Ballroom

Want to grade better assignments?  Want to give better grades without lowering your standards?  Whether you are designing a class session or an entire class, beginning with the end in mind and aligning activities and assessments with your learning objectives can help meet those goals!

Design approaches discussed will be applicable for face-to-face, hybrid, and online learning environments, as we dive into examples, generate ideas, and workshop some common design scenarios.

Please join the Center for Teaching & Learning and Bethany Simunich, Director of Online Pedagogy and Research from the Office of Distance Education, as we discuss backward design and setting students up for success.  Healthy lunch options will be provided.
