Joan Inderhees Studio Teaching: The Art of Teaching in Creative Work Spaces
Studio courses comprise a significant portion of courses at Kent State University. Currently, there are few teaching resources that focus on role of the instructor in the students’ iterative creative process, and for appropriate critique methods for use in studio-based disciplines.
An interactive and interdisciplinary workshop to discuss teaching practices that utilize signature pedagogies of studio teaching — projects, critiques, presentation. Additionally, Dr. Joan Inderhees of the School of Visual Communication Design will share the results of her survey of KSU studio faculty, conducted as part of her CTL Faculty Fellow project. Everyone is encouraged to be part of this workshop!
This workshop will be held on virtually through Blackboard Collaborate Ultra. A link to join will be provided to all registered participants.
