Registering for the Patient Portal

  1. Visit https://www.uhs.kent.edu
     
  2. In the upper right corner click “Register”
     
  3. On the “Register” page you must enter data in all of the fields as it matches what you enter against what is already in our system of records.
    1. User Name: This is where you choose your username for the UHS Patient Portal. We strongly recommend that your “User Name” here matches your Kent State FlashLine username.
    2. Kent State ID: This is your nine digit identification number – you may know it as your student ID or Banner number. It should start with an “8”.
    3. Email: This must match your email address in our systems. Please enter your Kent State email address.
    4. First Name: This should be your full legal first name. If your legal name is “Stephen” you must enter that even if you go by “Steve”.
    5. Last Name: This should be your full legal last name. If you have a hyphen or have multiple last names on your driver’s license it’s likely that is how it should be entered here.
       
  4. Once you have entered all of the above information, click the “Submit” button. You should receive a message of success stating that you will be email a link to complete the registration process.
     
  5. Go to your Kent State email account and look for the email with the subject “Patient Portal” from Appointments @uhs.kent.edu and open it.
     
  6. Click the link in the second line of the email after “Log into the Patient Portal by clicking on this link, or copying and pasting it in your browser:”
     
  7. Your browser will then open a new tab with a page to set your password for the UHS Patient Portal. Please make sure to set a password that you will easily remember.
