First Year & Sophomore Resident Meal Plans

When selecting a space on campus through the Residence Services Housing Application, First Year Resident Students are required to select one of the following meal plans:

  • Please note: The 2018 – 2019 Tuition Guarantee Cohort Rates apply to first-year degree-seeking undergraduate and eligible transfer students starting at Kent State during the 2018-19 academic year. To learn more about Tuition Guarantee Cohort Rates, please visit the Bursar's Office Tuition Guarantee page.

  • The 2019-2020 meal plans and rates are proposed and subject to approval by the Board of Trustees.

The Gold Plan 

2018-2019 Cohort Price: $2,545.00-each semester

2019-2020 Cohort Price: $2,624.00-each semester

  • Unlimited meal swipes in Eastway Fresh Food Company, The Market or Prentice Café
  • $550 Declining Balance and 10 Guest Meals
  • Meal Exchange at Rosie's Diner, Eastway Deli, Munchies Market Deli, George T. Simon III Cafe and The CUE Express

The Kent Plan

  • Unlimited meal swipes in Eastway Fresh Food Company, The Market or Prentice Café
  • $300 Declining Balance and 10 Guest Meals
  • Meal Exchange at Rosie's Diner, Eastway Deli, Munchies Market Deli, George T. Simon III Cafe and The CUE Express 

 

The blue Plan

2018-2019 Cohort Price: $2,141.00-each semester

2019-2020 Cohort Price: $2,207.00-each semester

  • $100 Declining Balance and 5 Guest Meals

At the end of each semester, any unused meal swipes and guest meals will expire. Any unused declining balance dollars will rollover to the next semester.
 
Meal plans purchased in the fall semester are a yearlong commitment. The class standing a student has at the beginning of the fall semester will determine the meal plans they are able to get for the spring semester.
