I am the Program Coordinator for the Office of Diversity and Inclusion Leadership where I work collaboratively with various offices and programs to provide strategic leadership, expertise and vision in building an equity-minded, student-centric, inclusive institution that welcomes and supports diverse students, staff, faculty and other stakeholders.
I came to Kent State in 2010 where I initially served as an Academic Advisor in the University College until 2016, when I transitioned to DEI as a Program Coordinator. Preceding Kent State, from 2006 -2010, I was Academic Success Specialist in Arizona State University. From 2002 - 2006, I served at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor as Residence Hall Director.
Favorite place on the Kent campus:
My absolute favorite place on the Kent Campus is the Williamson House.
Best advice for students:
When you go through college, allow college to go through you. Much of college learning takes place outside the classroom, so be sure to take advantage of every opportunity to become involved and/or engaged.
