In my role as the program director for Upward Bound Health Professions and Upward Bound Math Science, I am committed to increasing educational opportunities and diminishing social, academic, cultural and socio-economic barriers for high school students seeking entrance into and success in post-secondary education from Barberton, Canton McKinley, Lorain, Ravenna, and Windham high schools.
Before joining Kent State University's Upward Bound Programs, I gained experience in undergraduate and transfer admissions at The University of Akron; human resources, advertising, bookkeeping, and office management with my family-owned business; marketing, admissions, career advising, and job placement at the Medina County Career Center; program development with Jobs for Ohio's Graduates and In the Company of Kids at Children's Hospital Medical Center of Akron, and engaged in other youth empowerment opportunities.
Favorite place on the Kent campus:
Depending on the 'weather' University Library or Risman Plaza.
Best advice for students:
Remember, ʺYou are one decision away from greatness.ʺ (Wes Moore)
