Yvette Roberts
Position:

I serve as the Support Services Coordinator for Kent State University's Office of Sexual and Relationship Violence Support Services. I am responsible for assisting with educating students, faculty and staff about personal safety and violence prevention, empowering them to build healthy relationships and helping to prevent power-based personal violence, and responding to those in need.

Experience:

Prior to coming to Kent, I worked for Akron Summit Community Action, Inc. for fifteen years as a Project Coordinator for their Foster Grandparent Program and Family Support Specialist in their Head Start Program. I also work part-time for the Battered Women Shelter of Summit and Medina County as a Crisis Intervention Specialist.

Favorite place on the Kent campus:

Kent State University has always maintained a beautiful campus, I am looking forward to walking and running along the hills of the front part of campus when the weather permits.

Best advice for students:

I encourage all students to participate in the support services that Kent State has to offer. As a former student of Kent State University, I utilized many support services to help me navigate my way through my college experience here at Kent State University.
